William D. Umansky has over a decade of experience to offer any client who has been injured as a result of someone else’s negligence. Mr. Umansky focuses on helping injured people in Orlando and throughout Florida. During the early years of his career Mr. Umansky worked as both a former Assistant State Attorney in Florida and as The City Prosecutor for the City of Orlando.
As a prosecutor, he gained invaluable experience actually trying cases. Unlike some personal injury attorneys who are afraid to take a case to trial, Mr. Umansky has extensive courtroom experience and won’t hesitate to try your case, if necessary to get the results his client’s need. He works hard to recover damages for his clients to compensate for their medical expenses, lost wages, permanent physical disability, pain, suffering, and emotional distress. He represents people in the Orlando area, and throughout central Florida, who have been injured by another person’s carelessness. He handles all personal injury cases, including car accidents, truck accidents, and motorcycle accidents.
William Umansky is active in the Orlando community. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the YMCA of Central Florida, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Avalon Park. Since 2003, Mr. Umansky has served as an officer of Teen Alternatives, Inc. In addition to community service, Mr. Umansky is involved in many legal associations, including the Academy of Florida Trial lawyers, the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Orange County Legal Aid Society.
Education
Mr. Umansky graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and obtained his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law. During law school, Mr. Umansky was a member of the University of Florida Trial Team and received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contribution to the University of Florida Law School. He also earned an award for achieving the top grade for his work in Negotiations and Dispute Settlement. Mr. Umansky also attended the Tulane Institute of European Legal Studies.
